Charlie Delery Jr., 85, a native and resident of Donaldsonville, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. Charlie was a loving father, husband, and friend to many. His favorite hobbies were gardening and cooking. He retired from the Finance Business after 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sally Landry Delery; daughter, Hollie Delery Lilley; son, Charles "Chuck" Delery III and wife Regina Ann; two sisters, Doris Reppen and Mildred Dumesnil; four grandchildren, Cody Sibille, Brittany Sibille, Joshua Delery, and Kathryn Lilley; three...

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sally Landry Delery; daughter, Hollie Delery Lilley; son, Charles "Chuck" Delery III and wife Regina Ann; two sisters, Doris Reppen and Mildred Dumesnil; four grandchildren, Cody Sibille, Brittany Sibille, Joshua Delery, and Kathryn Lilley; three nieces, Barbara Jackson, Mary McGinnis, and Wanda Kramer; and a nephew, Genie Dumesnil. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Bertha Cire Delery; sister, Lorraine "Cookie" Delery; and sister, Leona Delery. In lieu of flowers, it is Charles' wish that donations be made to the American Cancer Society and St. JUDE Children's Research Hospital. isiting will be at Ascension Catholic Church, Donaldsonville on Friday, December 2, 2016from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon. Rev. Paul Yi officiating. Entombment to follow in the church mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Chuck Delery, Cody Sibille, Joshua Delery, Louis McGinnis, Andy Jackson, Billy Millien, and Sonny Turner.
