Holt Hamilton Fastring, 73, a native of New Orleans and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. Holt was an Engineer in Mechanical, Safety, and Forensics. He took pride in his work and loved what he did. He was a graduate of the University of UNO. He was an avid fisherman and won several trophies in the Tarpon Rodeo Fishing Tournament. Holt Hamilton Fastring, 73, a native of New Orleans and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. Holt was an Engineer in Mechanical, Safety, and Forensics. He took pride in his work and loved what he did. He was a graduate of the University of UNO. He was an avid fisherman and won several trophies in the Tarpon Rodeo Fishing Tournament. Holt was a member of The Church of St. Amant. He was a bible scholar and loved the word of God. Holt leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Elaine Landry Fastring; two daughters, Shannon Fastring Bryant (Billy), and Michelle Theriot Duhon; two sons, Eric H. Fastring (Danielle), and Julius Joe Theriot Jr.; twelve grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held on November 18, 2016 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville, LA 70346. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wernex Theodore and Evelyn L. Fastring; one brother, Richard Arthur Fastring; one grandson, Bobby James Duhon; one brother, one son-in-law, Emile Duhon Sr.
