God called Loretta Tripode Sotile home on November 28, 2016. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was 93 and a native and resident of Donaldsonville. Survived by sons and daughters-in-law Vincent and Patricia Costanza Sotile, Mark and Becky Hymel Sotile, Donald and Laura Beard Sotile all of Donaldsonville and, daughter and son-in-law Rosalyn Sotile Small and Michael of Plattenville; grandchildren, Debbie (Rene) Gautreaux, Charles (Lynn) Dirks, Jack (Emily) Dirks, Mark Sotile, Jr., Melissa (Brad) Zeller, Matthew (Sarah) Sotile, Michelle (Lance) Troxclair, and Rebecca Sotile (Jacob Knight, fiancé), and step-grandchildren Colby LeBlanc, Jennifer (Bumpy)...

Survived by sons and daughters-in-law Vincent and Patricia Costanza Sotile, Mark and Becky Hymel Sotile, Donald and Laura Beard Sotile all of Donaldsonville and, daughter and son-in-law Rosalyn Sotile Small and Michael of Plattenville; grandchildren, Debbie (Rene) Gautreaux, Charles (Lynn) Dirks, Jack (Emily) Dirks, Mark Sotile, Jr., Melissa (Brad) Zeller, Matthew (Sarah) Sotile, Michelle (Lance) Troxclair, and Rebecca Sotile (Jacob Knight, fiancé), and step-grandchildren Colby LeBlanc, Jennifer (Bumpy) Triche, Vickie Small, Elizabeth (Kyle) Rogers; great grand-children Holden, Grant and Gabrielle Gautreaux; Grace, Virginia, Charles, Jack, Jr., Lee and Jude Dirks; Brandt, Mary Beth and Brayden Zeller; Tyler and Preston Sotile; Ryder and Hayes Troxclair, and step great-grandchildren Mary Catherine Triche, Cameron Small, and Kylie and Lola Rogers; sister Angie Nizzo; and, family friend Esther Landry. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of almost fifty years, Vincent J. Sotile, Sr., parents Natole Joseph and Virginia Ianni Tripode, sister Tina Giardina, brother Camille Tripode, and daughter-in-law Mary Daigle Sotile. She was a former businesswoman having managed The Carriage Shoppe in Donaldsonville for 13 years. She was a lifelong member of the Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church and before her illness loved traveling and playing cards with her family and friends. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 30 at the Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Donaldsonville from 8:30 am to 10:45 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am followed by burial in the Church Mausoleum. Special thanks to Dr. Vincent Cataldo and staff, the nurses and staff of Our Lady of the Lake-5th floor and Mary Bird Perkins-Infusion Floor, Audra Villa RN, Debbie D'Emanuel RN, and Cheryl Nicholas who all lovingly cared for our Mother during her illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens' Research Hospital or Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church Building Fund.
